Block paving driveways

Block paving's biggest advantage is repairability — a single block can be lifted and swapped without touching the rest of the drive. Its biggest weakness is edge restraint. If the perimeter isn't set in concrete haunching, the whole drive slowly spreads and the joints open up.

We build the sub-base to full depth, screed the sand bed, lay to your chosen pattern, and finish with a compacted kiln-dried joint sand. The edge course is bedded and haunched in concrete — the way it should be.
